HOW TO MAKE EMAIL LINKS OPEN IN GMAIL INSTEAD OF YOUR MAIL APPLICATION

If you use Gmail instead of Outlook or Mail, you probably find it quite annoying whenever you click a link like this one. If you use Google Chrome as your browser, do the following.

  1. Login to Gmail - Google
  2. Click on the little icon in the address bar that looks like this
  3. Select Always and then Click Done

If that icon doesn't appear, then follow these steps

  1. Click this icon in the top right of your window

  2. Click Settings
  3. Click the Show Advanced Settings link. Then click Content Settings under the Privacy section.
  4.  In the pop-up window, scroll down to the "Handlers" section and click the "Manage Handlers" button. Then select Gmail from the mailto dropdown, click "Done," and, well, you're done!

For other browsers, follow this link for steps to follow, including Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer
